Kayla graduated from the accelerated program at the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy (VCMT) and has gained experience treating people with a variety of issues such as musculo-skeletal injuries (sprains, muscle strains, joint dislocations, disc herniations), systemic issues such as HIV/AIDS, hypertension, fibromyalgia, arthritis, and complex regional pain syndrome, as well as mental health issues such as depression/anxiety, PTSD, and chronic stress.
As a dancer and competitive figure skater since the age of 3, Kayla is extremely passionate about movement and expression. This led her to teach dance and fitness/conditioning classes beginning in 2003. She then completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training in 2013, and has been teaching around the world ever since! Shazreen opened Vancity Massage Therapy in 2018 with Tiana Stoddart in order to create
a unique clinic space that highlights the importance of allowing yourself time to play and be
curious in our busy world. Shazreen graduated from the 3000 hour Massage Therapy
program at WCCMT in 2012 . She has spent the majority of her practice consistently expanding her
knowledge working from a biopsychosocial pain model. Shazreen has a personal background in working though head injury/ post concussive disorder which has given her a unique appreciation for the interconnectedness of the human body. Her treatment approach centers in her passion of neurology, and the functions of the nervous system.
