Shelby Green started her career in wellness as a personal trainer, health coach and kickboxing instructor. She studied health science and earned a Bachelor of Science in Food Nutrition and Health at The University of British Columbia, and later completed a Holistic Culinary Certificate through the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition.

A desire for more knowledge led her to pursue Massage Therapy, and she graduated on the Dean’s List from Vancouver College of Massage Therapy in 2021. She is passionate about all things health, wellness and human anatomy, and has a strong desire to help people at every age and stage of life. Sharleen has always had a fascination with the body and it’s complexities, it was through seeking treatment from a RMT of her own, that made her realize the positive impact that Massage Therapy can have, thus, began her journey to help facilitate the healing process of others going forward. Sharleen is a 2016 graduate of the West Coast College of Massage Therapy. Prior to her start into massage therapy, she is a graduate from Stenberg College, 2005 having completed the Hospital Support Specialist program. Sharleen has spent 9 years working at both Vancouver Coastal Health & Fraser Health Authority in various fields, such as, Medical Office Assistant, Emergency Admitting, Radiology & Diagnostic Imaging Support, while spending the majority of her career in Staffing Services.

Shazreen opened Vancity Massage Therapy in 2018 with Tiana Stoddart in order to create

a unique clinic space that highlights the importance of allowing yourself time to play and be

curious in our busy world. Shazreen graduated from the 3000 hour Massage Therapy

program at WCCMT in 2012 . She has spent the majority of her practice consistently expanding her

knowledge working from a biopsychosocial pain model. Shazreen has a personal background in working though head injury/ post concussive disorder which has given her a unique appreciation for the interconnectedness of the human body. Her treatment approach centers in her passion of neurology, and the functions of the nervous system.

Shazreen likes to assess overall motor control and functionality to create a treatment designed to

target individual, specific concerns. Shazreen has worked with a very diverse range of people; from acute sporting injury to chronic pain management throughout her career and enjoys the puzzle each individual presents with. Outside of the

Holly is a graduate of the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy, where she learned to treat a wide variety of physical conditions. Before pursuing her RMT diploma she worked for over 5 years providing relaxation massage in hotel spas around Vancouver.

Her combined experience influences her approach to massage, which is aimed at creating a soothing environment while simultaneously working towards the specific therapeutic goals of her patients. She does this by blending relaxation techniques with slow applications of deeper targeted manual therapy.

Kayla graduated from the accelerated program at the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy (VCMT) and has gained experience treating people with a variety of issues such as musculo-skeletal injuries (sprains, muscle strains, joint dislocations, disc herniations), systemic issues such as HIV/AIDS, hypertension, fibromyalgia, arthritis, and complex regional pain syndrome, as well as mental health issues such as depression/anxiety, PTSD, and chronic stress.

As a dancer and competitive figure skater since the age of 3, Kayla is extremely passionate about movement and expression. Nicolas likes to view the body as an interconnected system through its fascial structure, focusing treatments on unwinding tensional patterns and bringing ease and flow to breathing and movement. With an emphasis on bringing mindful awareness to tensional forces, and working with the body to release its compensations, he is able to provide a catered therapeutic massage that encourages motor control and neurological integrity.

No stranger to pain and dysfunction himself, Nicolas comes from a high-performance hockey goaltending background, giving him personal insight into a variety of acute physical injuries from strains and sprains to concussions and whiplash. He also has a professional history through acting and film, and is well versed in the chronic and acute issues that come from those long and demanding workdays.

As a graduate of VaCC’s Registered Massage Therapy program coupled with over a decade of relaxation massage experience, he has worked with clients from a wide variety of stages of life, health, and backgrounds and is able to provide lasting and effective treatments to any walk of life.
